It was November 2012 when I saw a tweet looking for runners that wanted to write about their experiences. I’d only started running a few weeks earlier, but I was into it—so I responded.
Just Keep Running was launched on December 6th, 2012. With a team of 7 to 8 runners + editor-in-chief Zélia, we built one of the biggest running blogs in the Netherlands.
It was the place to be for race reports, reviews, running fashion, health & fitness tips, gadgets, and personal updates from our team.
I wrote weekly blog posts on my own running experience, but also articles about what was going on in the running world and more. Some examples of what I wrote are:
- Where to Leave Your Things While Running
An article explaining what things you need to bring while running and tips for where to leave it. - “Is that fast?”
An editorial about fast or slow paces and why it shouldn’t matter what it compares to. You’re racing no one but yourself. - Can I Complain About Sports Bras?
About the grief that sports bras give us.
Each team member also posted on social media (Facebook and Instagram) several times.
Unfortunately, Just Keep Running doesn’t exist anymore. I do have a file with all of my race reports (in Dutch), which you can read here.
